Dieu Le Veut Sumba

Dieu Le Veut Sumba, born in Kinshasa in 1989, is a bassist who plays rumba, jazz, gospel, and Congolese folk music. Over the past ten years, he has accompanied the renowned guitarist Kojack Kossakamvwe in numerous concerts in the DRC, Uganda, Rwanda, and Burundi, as well as on tours in Europe. In 2016, he collaborated with Mbilia Belle, also widely known in the DRC and internationally. In 2022, he took part in the performance of Requiem pour L (Fabrizio Cassol and Alain Platel) in Brazzaville. Since 2024, he has been touring in Switzerland, Germany, and Austria with GROUP50:50 and the production ECOSYSTEM.
